Detoxing and skin care!

Hello again!

So I thought I would write my second ever blog about detoxing and skin care as detoxing is something I tried out a couple of weeks ago so it is still fresh in my mind. ;) I would also love some advice off you all to do with skin care as there are so many great products out there but I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject so I thought that if we could all share our experiences with different products it could be very helpful and save a lot of time and money!
As I'm sure you will all find out soon enough, I have a massive obsession with food.. Well.. Unhealthy food ;) I have far too many take aways and chocolates, can't beat a good KFC or McDonalds! Over Christmas me and my Dad decided that at the start of January we were going to do a 3 day detox, we were hoping this would cancel out all the rubbish we've both eaten over the years (fat chance! But as my previous blog explained, I try to think positive.. ;) ). We decided to do 3 days instead of 5 or 7 as I think we would have struggled to cope without take away/meat/chocolate ETC for that long and I wanted to make it doable!
For our detox, we only ate fruit and vegetables and only drank water. It was so much harder than I expected it to be and all in all, we lasted 2.5 days before cracking and chomping our way through a large KFC ;) However I'm still proud of us for lasting that long, considering I usually struggle to eat 5 a month let alone 5 a day, I'm surprised how easily my body adjusted to living off purely fruit and veg! My Dad did have a bad headache but I luckily was fine throughout! It also made me realise that fruit and veg isn't actually that bad, I feel as though detoxing is going to continue to influence my food choices so that I perhaps choose an orange or apple over chocolate or sweets sometimes? I think that life style changes should be made gradually, one small step at a time so hopefully this is just the start of healthier eating in 2015!
The detox also improved my skin so much in such a short space of time. I struggle with spots and reddened skin/under eye circles as many people have at some point in their lives, some worse than others! The detox did improve my face within a few days so I'm considering detoxing just once a week or once a fortnight.. I think that could possibly improve my skin and my health more than doing a big detox once or twice a year... What do you all think?
Another point Id like to make is that after Watching Zoella's videos and vlogs, it has made me feel so much more comfortable in my own skin, spots are just one of them things, we all have them, have had them or will have them so I guess there's no point in worrying about what other people think. And like Zoe once said, they make your face more interesting ;)
However there's so many treatments you can get for reducing spots and under eye circles, does anyone have any recommendations? Does eating healthy improve your skin? Do you get what you pay for when using creams for your face?
I'd love to hear about all your personal experiences and your opinions!
Thanks for reading, I really hope you liked this. Let me know if you have any more blog ideas for me :)

Speak again soon, Molly xxx
